This past weekend we went to Delavan, IL. We went to help Susie move Dan's Grandma into a care facility. It was a hard thing to do, but time. We spent time at Grandma Mrs. house playing with toys she has had for years and burning the sticks that had piled up in her yard (as well as an old counter). There are a lot of memories in that house. Many generations worth of memories.

We came home to a little bit of snow. The boys did there best to have a snowball fight. Nick carefully made his before attacking Andrew. Andrew just caught Nick's to throw back at him. I love these boys! So different, so full if life.

Bud the Buck came by again today trying to get at our neighbors apples. Sadly he was prevented by Winchester the golden retriever. It was a pretty fun show down though. This buck is not skittish as far a deer are concerned.

Many of you know how much I love my husband. He has been my favorite subject for many years now. I called him at work today and we were reminded that today, 15 years ago, he asked me to marry him. It was Thanksgiving day and we had gone for a walk in the field behind my parents home. He had just turned 18 a little more than a month before. I have always considered him very brave for that. Asking me, choosing me while we were still young. He wanted me to be his life, his early life. He didn't see any point in growing up without us growing up together. That I was worth so much to him, humbles me to think about. I am thankful for my husband, my Daniel, my gift. 

I am thankful to be his wife.

Two of my favorite people who seem to be traveling a lot these days. Looking forward to my Man who makes me smile coming home today and to spending some good days over Thanksgiving with my mother-in-love who I value deeply as a friend and sister in Christ. 

I am thankful for dogs who "help" Carissa do her school work, the artistic hands and minds of my children, watching them giggle and play games together, and the bond between brothers that is so often expressed in physical ways beyond my comprehension (but so important).

Sunday Snapshots: Halloween costumes and candy, the AndDanimal, haircuts (how different their hair is). My bumper from the truck and how thankful I am that it was such a big vehicle after being rear ended turning left into my driveway. A new coat, yummy pizza, and the stuff Dan takes on his work trips.
